This is your chance to make a Damascus steel knife from a piece of random pattern Damascus steel. We will forge the knife out into shape (bush craft type) using hammer and anvil, the blade will then be normalised to release stress from the forging process. Your knife blank will be cleaned up on the belt grinder. The knife will be bevelled and the finished to 400 grit to get ready for hardening. Your knife will then tempered ready for final clean up and get it ready to etch, we then etch the blade to reveal the pattern and glue the handle to the knife. This course is quit challenging but very rewarding and you get to leave the forge with your very own hand made knife.

This course is open to all over the age of 18, and is up to 6 hours long per day, no previous experience is necessary. Sturdy shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty are recommended (please no shorts).
